I finally found someone who received one of the coveted “Glitter for Enemies” envelopes!
You may recall that “Ship Your Enemies Glitter” recently gained HUGE Internet fame, sparking the creation of many similar services. In fact, the original Glitter company was actually just a hoax that the web creator made to get popular. He did end up filling some orders though, and sold his site for $85,000 to a real glitter company. (So, do I need to just make up a silly site to make some money too?)
However, real companies stepped in to take his place: companies like RuinDays.com.Daniel Torrez was an enemy who actually got a glitter envelope. Read more here: Click To Tweet
Daniel Torrez of Corpus Christi received one of these “you pissed me off!!!” envelopes from RuinDays at work.
“It could have been worse,” Daniel proudly commented. “Because of the small rip in the envelope, a lot of glitter was lost. Looks like it was an accidental tear.”
The envelope wasn’t spring-loaded, which helped the glitter not be *quite* so bad. He was excited to get one of the glitter envelopes, but also excited that it wasn’t a lot worse.
“Had it not been for the tear, I wouldn’t have seen the speck of glitter and I would have opened it at my work station… Standing over my computer.”
Daniel knows exactly who sent the glitter to him: it was one of his employees. After I posted about the glitter envelopes on Facebook, Daniel showed the post to his employee, who was suddenly VERY inspired.
“Believe it or not, it made me smile. I had a bad weekend, and it gave me a much needed laugh when I got it,” Daniel said. “Now, if I had opened it over my computer, probably not so happy.”
