It’s happened! “A Basket Full of Kittens,” my first children’s book, is almost ready for publishing. 🙂 But here’s the deal: self publishing can be expensive. So I’m funding A Basket Full of Kittens on Indiegogo and giving 10 percent of the sales to The Cattery, an amazing cage-free, no-kill shelter in Corpus Christi, Texas that finds loving homes for cats & kittens. And it’s a “purrrrfect” fit, since my book is about a kitten looking for a home. 🙂

The Indiegogo campaign has some GREAT perks, including a signed book with a pawprint from Mufasa (the book is based on our cat, Mufasa.) You can also get a package that includes the book, a basket with a stuffed Mufasa, and adoption papers! 🙂 Most exciting? You can order a version where the page at the end is changed to feature a likeness of YOUR child in a printed book!!! Wow! 🙂
Here’s an example of one of your options:
Getting funders early is essential to an Indiegogo campaign in order to help it get onto Indiegogo’s front page! So if you’re thinking about getting a copy, please do so now. You can buy one on Indiegogo here.
My next post will be about how you can help spread the word! We have some fun options, including a contest. 🙂If you enjoyed this post, please subscribe to the blog below. 🙂
